01 / Diagnose
Find the operational gaps your storefront cannot show you.
The Commerce Operations Audit examines how Shopify, product data, channels, measurement, customer messages, shipping, returns, apps, and launch controls work together. You receive evidence, priorities, and a practical roadmap whether or not Proper Commerce implements it.
Ten review categories
A broad operating view, focused by business consequence.
The audit is not a promise to inspect every possible setting. It selects relevant evidence across these categories and explains the limits of what was reviewed.
- 01Storefront and theme health
- 02Product, variant, and collection structure
- 03Merchandising and product-page consistency
- 04Checkout, payments, promotions, and accounts
- 05Sales channels and product-feed integrity
- 06Analytics, conversion events, and measurement
- 07Email and customer-lifecycle event basics
- 08Shipping, delivery messaging, returns, and notifications
- 09Apps, integrations, automation, and dependencies
- 10Access, versioning, launches, QA, and risk controls
The output
A decision tool—not a disguised sales call.
The roadmap is designed to be useful whether you implement internally, commission one Focused Sprint, or wait until priorities and capacity change.

Audit questions
Know what you are buying before work begins.
Why start with a paid audit?
A storefront symptom can begin in product data, tracking, theme logic, an app, a sales channel, shipping, or process. The audit pays for the work required to determine what is actually happening and leaves you with a roadmap you can use whether or not Proper Commerce implements it.
Is implementation included in the audit?
No. The audit includes investigation, evidence, priorities, and recommendations. Implementation is separately scoped so the cost, dependencies, and definition of done are clear.
Can you guarantee higher sales or conversion?
No. Revenue and conversion depend on traffic, product-market fit, pricing, merchandising, creative, market conditions, client decisions, and other factors. Proper Commerce commits to the stated diagnostic, implementation, testing, and operating deliverables—not a guaranteed financial result.
Do you replace our developer, agency, or marketing team?
Usually not. Proper Commerce can coordinate with existing specialists, clarify ownership, and identify where a developer, analyst, email specialist, or another expert is needed. The goal is to make the work function as one operation.
What access do you need?
Access depends on scope. After an agreement is signed, the minimum permissions required are requested through Shopify Partner collaborator access and named user accounts where possible. Shared owner passwords are not requested.
Do you work with Shopify Plus?
Potentially, when the scope fits and does not require a large enterprise replatforming or specialized architecture program. Complex Plus work may require a partner agency or specialist.
