03 / Operate
Ongoing Shopify operations without another full-time hire.
Fractional Shopify Operations creates continuity across store health, launches, vendors, release QA, and the operating backlog. It is a defined monthly relationship—not an unlimited request queue.
Monthly rhythm
Plan, release, verify, and decide what comes next.
- Week 1
Review
Store health, measurement, feeds, exceptions, and current risks.
- Week 2
Prepare
Launch, merchandising, catalog, and dependency decisions.
- Week 3
Release
Approved implementation inside the defined monthly plan or capacity.
- Week 4
Verify
QA, documentation, reporting, and next-month priorities.
Recurring value
An operating function, not vague maintenance.
The relationship is valuable when the store has recurring work that benefits from context over time: launches, feeds, measurement, vendors, merchandising, releases, or a cross-system backlog.
Typical responsibilities
- Store-health and risk review
- Catalog and channel governance
- Launch and promotion readiness
- Theme and app change control
- QA, documentation, and monthly reporting
Capacity and response
Priorities are agreed. Tradeoffs are visible.
Monthly work is defined by outcomes or capacity. New urgent requests can displace planned work only with an explicit decision. Response time is not a same-day resolution guarantee.
- No unlimited tickets or revisions
- No 24/7 incident response
- No large redesigns or replatforming
- No paid-media or full creative production
Included
What the engagement leaves behind.

What is not quietly folded into scope.

- Same-day resolution guarantees
- Paid-media management
- Full creative production
Ongoing support questions
A clear cadence begins with clear limits.
Can you guarantee higher sales or conversion?
No. Revenue and conversion depend on traffic, product-market fit, pricing, merchandising, creative, market conditions, client decisions, and other factors. Proper Commerce commits to the stated diagnostic, implementation, testing, and operating deliverables—not a guaranteed financial result.
Do you replace our developer, agency, or marketing team?
Usually not. Proper Commerce can coordinate with existing specialists, clarify ownership, and identify where a developer, analyst, email specialist, or another expert is needed. The goal is to make the work function as one operation.
What access do you need?
Access depends on scope. After an agreement is signed, the minimum permissions required are requested through Shopify Partner collaborator access and named user accounts where possible. Shared owner passwords are not requested.
What happens after the sprint?
You receive documentation and can operate the result internally. If there is a continuing need for governance, launches, monitoring, and prioritized improvement, Fractional Shopify Operations may be proposed.
How much is included in ongoing support?
The services schedule defines monthly outcomes or capacity, meeting cadence, release windows, response expectations, and exclusions. It is not an unlimited request plan.
